The Three Epiphanies: When the Divine Reveals Itself
Share
The word Epiphany means “manifestation” or “revelation,” and in the Christian tradition it is celebrated as the moment when God reveals himself to the world. Throughout Scripture, we recognize three great Epiphanies that marked the history of salvation and inspire us to this day:
1. The Apparition to the Three Wise Men
📖 Matthew 2:1-12
God reveals himself to the Gentile world through a star that guides the wise men from the East to the infant Jesus. This Epiphany reminds us that the light of Christ transcends cultures and borders, and that every heart that sincerely seeks can find the Savior.
“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.” – Matthew 2:10
2. The Baptism in the Jordan
📖 Matthew 3:13-17
At this sacred moment, Jesus is baptized by John and the Holy Spirit descends like a dove, while the voice of the Father is heard: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Here the mystery of the Trinity is revealed and the public ministry of Jesus begins.
“This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” – Matthew 3:17
3. The Wedding at Cana
📖 John 2:1-11
Jesus performs his first miracle, turning water into wine at a wedding. It is a manifestation of his power, but also of his tenderness and compassion, showing that even in life's small needs, he is present.
“This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee, and thus revealed his glory.” – John 2:11
💫 Epiphane: Inspired by the Light that is revealed
At Epifane, every creation is born from this profound meaning: we believe in a faith that reveals itself, in a beauty that transforms, and in a light that guides. Just as God revealed himself in those three epiphanies, our pieces seek to be a visible reminder that He remains present in every detail.
