Jesús de la Misericordia: Un Corazón que Purifica

Jesus of Divine Mercy: A Heart that Purifies

There are revelations that not only illuminate a moment, but transform the history of the soul. Such is the manifestation of Jesus of Divine Mercy: an epiphany of love that does not judge, but heals. In the midst of the world's pain and chaos, Jesus presents himself as a refuge, with an open heart and rays of light that pierce the inner darkness.

This vision was granted to a young Polish nun, Saint Faustina Kowalska, in the 1930s. In her simplicity, she was chosen as a messenger of an urgent truth: God's mercy knows no bounds. Jesus asked her to paint his image as he appeared to her, with one hand raised in blessing and the other touching his heart, from which two rays emanated: one red, representing blood, and the other white, symbolizing water. At the base of the image, a universal plea: “Jesus, I trust in you.”

But his message was not just an image, but a living call to trust, to seek him as the source of renewal. This is how the Chaplet of Divine Mercy was born, a powerful prayer recited with beads similar to those of a rosary. Through this practice, Jesus promised immense graces to those who recite it with faith, especially in times of difficulty, temptation, or on the brink of death. This devotion does not demand perfection, but surrender; it does not expect complex rituals, but an open heart that says, “Make me new, Lord.”

Each word of the Chaplet is a drop of light falling upon the soul, a silent purification that washes away despair and kindles hope. For in His mercy we find the water that cleanses and the blood that gives life. It is an intimate act of communion where the heart kneels, not out of fear, but out of love.

"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."

(Isaiah 1:18)
